Welcome to the official website of the Sacramento Affiliate of the Association for Contextual Behavioral Science (Sacramento-ACT).  Our mission is to foster the development of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Contextual Behavioral Science in the greater Sacramento area. 

 

All who are curious about  Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Contextual Behavioral Science (CBS), and Relational Frame Theory (RFT) are welcome.

We are a growing and diverse community coming from many psychotherapeutic orientations and professions (psychologists, psychiatrists, marriage and family therapists, social workers, educators, researchers & academics), who are committed to building a scientific, collegial, open, non-discriminatory,  and mutually supportive learning community. 

 

 

Our parent professional association, the Association for Contextual Behavioral Science (ACBS) is the foremost  international organization of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Relational Frame Theory (RFT) and, more broadly, the Contextual Behavioral Sciences (CBS).
